WhatsApp | Features, Official, Unofficial and your Business.

WhatsApp is a free messaging and calling app that allows users to send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other content. It is available on phones all over the world and is used by more than 2 billion people in over 180 countries.

 WhatsApp features

WhatsApp offers a variety of features for users to make their conversations more efficient and secure. Here are some of the key features of WhatsApp:

  •  Voice and video calls: In addition to voice calls, WhatsApp also offers video calls, including a group function, which allows up to eight participants on one call.
  •  Voice messaging: You can record and send voice messages to individual chats or group chats.
  •  Message delivery confirmation: This feature allows users to know when their message has been successfully sent, received, and read.
  •  End-to-end encryption: WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption to protect users' messages from being read by anyone except the sender and recipient.
  •  Group chats: You can create group chats with up to 256 participants.
  •  Media sharing: You can share photos, videos, documents, and other files with your contacts.
  •  Status updates: You can share text, photos, videos, and GIFs as your status update with your contacts.

Official vs Unofficial WhatsApp:

It is recommended to use the official WhatsApp app as unofficial apps are fake WhatsApp apps developed by third-parties which violate WhatsApp's Terms of Service. WhatsApp does not support these apps because they cannot validate their security practices. If you use these apps, your privacy and security are at risk. Unofficial apps may carry malware that can steal your data and damage your phone.

Using unofficial apps may not support some basic features of WhatsApp, such as connecting your WhatsApp ID to WhatsApp web. If you still choose unofficial apps for some additional features, the risk is up to you.

WhatsApp Business:

WhatsApp Business is a separate app designed for small business owners. It allows businesses to communicate with their customers through the app. The app includes features such as automated messages, quick replies, and labels to help businesses manage their chats.

Some benefits of using WhatsApp Business include the ability to offer better customer support, form a personal connection with customers, leverage the first mover’s advantage, use WhatsApp to boost your marketing, get deep insights into customer behavior and happiness, get discovered via the WhatsApp yellow pages, automate answering messages and more.
