Passwords And Security | What is a Strong Password?

A password is a string of characters used to verify the identity of a user during the authentication process. Passwords are typically used in tandem with a username; they are designed to be known only to the user and allow that user to gain access to a device, application or website.

Passwords help ensure that computers or data can only be accessed by those granted the right to view or access them. Strong passwords help protect data from bad actors and malicious software.

Strong Passwords:

To create strong passwords, you can use a password manager which randomizes and stores your passwords for you. You can also use passphrases and a combination of capital letters, numbers, and special characters to protect your password against cracking and other hacking attempts.

Here are some tips on how to create strong passwords:

  • Use long password combinations.
  • Combine numbers, lowercase, and uppercase letters.
  • Avoid popular passwords.
  • Use symbols.
  • Use a secure password manager to create strong passwords.

Here are some examples of strong passwords that you can use as a reference:

  • “Cartoon-Duck-14-Coffee-Glvs”
  • “I hate small heighted girls with big weight”
  • “I play cricket daily from 6Am to 8Am”
  • “I want to be a father of 10 kids”

It is recommended that you use a full phrase or sentence as it is easy for you to remember and difficult for others to guess. Strong passwords should not contain personal information.

Password Manager:

Using a password manager is recommended as it helps you generate and store long, unique passwords for all of your online accounts. That’s important because using weak passwords or the same passwords on multiple accounts makes you more susceptible to identity theft and other crimes. Password managers can also generate strong passwords that are virtually unhackable.

Own Passwords:

If you think you can create a strong password by yourself, you do not need to use a password manager.

I can create my own strong passwords with passwords Manager, which are not easy to remember and read. You can write them and save them on a paper page or online.

Here are some examples of my passwords.
  • "1HS9n83B &Sg%hGpalDch#(:!Yr"
  • "H£k:SV7@BJh_u&( Ey_58OC#9b,MX"
  • "E@7o83 ×n€?5JHf8# O7'SN$r4W7%4nOV"
It has also long length, symbols, numbers, lowercase letters, uppercase letters and these are not popular.

Symbol Support:

Some websites do not support symbols and characters. So you can use other strong passwords which are easily readable or remove special characters and symbols from your password.

Length Support:

Please check the password length limits on the app or web for creating your password. Do not create longer than the limit of length.
