How to secure wifi network from hackers or anyone else with home wifi network security.

In today's digital age, having a secure and reliable internet connection has become a necessity. However, with the rise of cyber threats, ensuring the safety of your home network has become more critical than ever before. Fortunately, there are several ways to secure your home Wifi network from hacking. Here are some tips that you can follow:

Firstly, you can place your router in a central location in your home. This helps to ensure that the Wifi signal is evenly distributed throughout your house, reducing the risk of dead spots where your connection may be weak or non-existent.

Secondly, updating your router settings to either WPA3 Personal or WPA2 Personal encryption is a must. Encryption ensures that any data transmitted over your network is encrypted, making it unreadable to anyone who doesn't have the key to decrypt it. This makes it much more difficult for hackers to gain access to your network and steal your sensitive information. And use a strong password or passphrase for your Wifi network.

Thirdly, create a strong SSID network name and turning off network name broadcasting can help to make your network hide and invisible to potential hackers and devices. When network name broadcasting is turned on, your network name is visible to anyone within range, making it easier for hackers to identify your network and attempt to break in.

To add your hidden or turned off network name broadcasting Wifi network to your mobile device, you can follow these steps:

  • Android:

  1. Open Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Network & Internet.
  3. Tap Wifi.
  4. Tap Add network at the bottom of the list of networks.
  5. Enter the network name (SSID) and select the security type and password.

  • iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Wifi.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the list of networks and tap Other.
  4. Enter the network name (SSID), select the security type and enter the password.

Turning on the firewall of your router is essential. A firewall acts as a barrier between your network and the internet, preventing unwanted traffic from entering your network. It is the first line of defense against cyber attacks and can help keep your network safe.

Turning off UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router is another necessary step. UPnP is a feature that allows devices to automatically connect to your network, making it easier for hackers to gain access. By turning off UPnP, you can prevent unauthorized devices from connecting to your network.

Using security services such as antivirus, antimalware, and VPN can provide additional protection to your network. These services can help detect and remove any malicious software that may be lurking on your devices, and provide an extra layer of encryption and security to your online activity.

Using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is also an effective way to secure your network. A VPN encrypts your traffic, making it unreadable to anyone who tries to intercept it. It also masks your location and IP address, making it more difficult for hackers to track your online activity.

Enabling the logging feature on your router is another useful step in securing your home network. This feature allows you to keep track of any suspicious activity on your network, such as unauthorized access attempts, and take appropriate action to prevent further attacks.

Finally, disabling your router's WPS (Wifi Protected Setup) is another essential step in securing your home network. WPS is a feature that allows devices to connect to your network without the need for a password, making it a prime target for attackers.

Stop Barcode Scanning with Media Access Control addresses:

When it comes to securing your home network, MAC address filtering is an effective way to prevent unauthorized access, including barcode scanning. MAC address filtering works by allowing only specific devices to connect to your network based on their unique MAC address.

To set up MAC filtering on your router, you will need to access your router's settings page. From there, you can configure a list of devices that are allowed to join your network. To do this, you will need to find the physical address, or MAC address, of each approved device.

For this you must need to set your mobile private mac address for wifi network. To set your mobile private MAC address to a network on Android and iOS, you can follow these steps:

  • Android:

  1. Open Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Network & Internet.
  3. Tap Wifi.
  4. Tap the gear icon next to the Wifi name of the network you want to connect to.
  5. Tap MAC address type.
  6. Select Use phone MAC.

  • iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Wifi.
  3. Tap the information icon next to the Wifi name of the network you want to connect to.
  4. Turn on Private Address.

Once you have all of the MAC addresses that you want to allow on your network, you can enter them into your router's settings and turn on the MAC address filtering option. This will ensure that only devices with approved MAC addresses can connect to your network, effectively preventing barcode scanning or other unauthorized access.

It's important to keep in mind that MAC address filtering is not foolproof and can be bypassed by determined attackers. However, it can still provide an additional layer of security to your home network and make it more difficult for attackers to gain access.

By following these simple steps, you can significantly reduce the risk of your home network being hacked and ensure that your internet connection remains secure and reliable.

AI Revolution | AI can grow your Business help in car Driving the Future of AI and its Robots

The AI revolution refers to the fundamental changes that artificial intelligence has brought to the ways people collect and process data as well as transformed business operations across different industries. AI systems are supported by three major aspects which are: domain knowledge, data generation, and machine learning. The first modern AI revolution took place with deep learning in 2012, when solving computer vision problems with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) took off. CNNs are similar in structure to the brain's visual cortex. They’ve been around since the 1990s but weren’t yet practical due to their intense computing power requirements.  AI is going to revolutionize the world of business and society at large. It is the most powerful technology humans have ever created. However, it is important to note that the AI revolution is not what you expect it to be. The AI revolution was ignited by a specific type of machine learning algorithms called neural networks. These algo...
